Therapy:

• Individual therapy: $180-$185 per 45-50 minute session or $240 per 60-minute session
• Couples and family therapy: $180-$200 per 45-50 minute session or $240-$255 per 60-minute session
• Longer sessions are prorated

Psychological Testing:

The cost for psychological testing varies depending upon the nature of the referral and the extent of testing necessary. Please contact our office, and we will be happy to provide you with an estimate.

Insurance:

Our practice is out of network for all insurances, which means that you will pay for all services at the time of your appointment. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance company, they may reimburse you for a portion of the fees you paid. Although we do not bill insurance companies directly, we do provide the necessary paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

If you plan to use your out-of-network benefits, you may wish to contact your insurance carrier directly before booking your appointment. Some questions to ask include:

• Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health (or psychological testing)? If so, what is covered?
• Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
• When does my deductible reset?
• What is the “usual and customary” allowed rate for services?

Many insurance companies reimburse a percentage of the “usual and customary” or “allowable” rate. This rate varies depending upon your coverage, and it is likely to be different from our fees. For example, if your insurance company’s allowable rate for one unit of service is $180 and our fee is $200, and you will be reimbursed 80% of the allowable rate, you will likely be reimbursed 80% of $180, not 80% of $200.

Your insurance company may ask you for CPT or procedure codes to determine your benefits. Some common procedure codes include:

96130: Psychological Testing*, 1st hour

*Testing evaluation services include the selection of the appropriate tests to be administered; integration of patient data; interpretation of standardized test results and clinical data; clinical decision-making; treatment planning; and reporting and interactive feedback to the patient, family members, or caregivers, when performed.

Payment:

Cash is our preferred method of payment. For your convenience, we also accept credit cards and HSA cards. We accept personal checks with a credit card on file.
